Frequently Asked Questions
Does my child need to know how to play Minecraft already?
Familiarity with Minecraft helps but isn't required. Coaches introduce the modding environment from scratch, so complete beginners can follow along.
What will my child actually build?
Campers create custom mods — new tools, items, blocks, or mini-games — inside a Minecraft world they design. Every camper leaves with a completed project to show off.
Is this the same as playing Minecraft?
No. Campers use modding tools to write code that changes how the game works. They're programming through Minecraft, not just playing it.
My child already plays Minecraft a lot — will this be too easy?
Being a good Minecraft player doesn't mean this camp will be easy — modding is a completely different skill. Advanced players enjoy seeing how the game works under the hood.
