Meet the owners of Code Wiz Rutherford.
I was a Global QA Engineering Manager in financial tech, with over 20 years leading teams and delivering high-quality, bug-free experiences. I've always believed in constantly learning new skills — the tools change, but learning how to learn is what carries you forward.
That belief became personal while raising my own daughter. We tried several coding and art programs, but she'd lose interest within a month or two — she's creative and loves to explore, and rigid, follow-the-example formats just didn't work for her.
Code Wiz was different. Kids explore their own interests at their own pace, and that freedom is exactly what makes them fall in love with coding. That's the environment I wanted to build for other families here in Rutherford.
I spent over a decade building web experiences — from Flash applications to leading UI development on multiple international website. Along the way, I kept adding new skills to my toolkit, most recently completing AWS re/Start Cloud Computing training through Per Scholas, because in tech, you're never really done learning.
That's the same spirit I want kids to bring to Code Wiz: curiosity, a willingness to try, fail, and try again, and the confidence that comes from actually building something real.
Watching a student debug their first program or finish their first robot is what makes this work worth it.

Code Wiz Rutherford is a locally owned coding and robotics education center in Rutherford, NJ, offering hands-on coding classes, robotics programs, and summer camps for kids ages 6–17. We proudly serve families across Rutherford, Bergen County, and surrounding North Jersey communities.
